Just a little more food porn for the food nerds. It’s amazing how many people are taking photos of their food these days.

I had the chance earlier this year to shoot the amazing Geoffrey Rush. A lot of people have been asking me what it was like. We’ll I would have to say, that I think he is one of those guys whose mind is going at a million miles an hour. He’s friendly and you can have a chat with him but you can tell, his mind is somewhere else. Probably lost somewhere in some Shakespeare, or maybe teaching Colin Firth how to talk. And when it came time to take a few snaps, I ripped off about 10 shots before he said “have you got what you need?” and with that he walked the plank back onto his pirate ship and sailed away down Military Road searching for Captain Sparrow. Absolutely brilliant!!

If you’re anything like me, you probably like to eat food on occasions. Well check out this food shoot from Balmoral Bather’s Pavillion. On the left is a Pistachio and white chocolate gateaux with feuilletine crunch and fresh raspberries. And on the right, cured salmon with radish and pickled melon, squid ink crumble and curry leaf vinaigrette. I’m sure the food nerds will agree that a squid ink crumble really is the perfect compliment to a cured salmon. Mmmmm!
